Three weeks in . . .

We recorded two interviews late last week, both with former kiwi wrestlers of the late 1980's and '90s. They were Tony Wolf (who was then known as Canadian Wolverine) and AJ Freely. Both were great talents and gave us some cool stories and insights from their time in the ring.

As well as this we've been scanning more photos and magazine articles and researching like crazy to work out the details of this remarkable history. Much of what happened when is anecdotal, which is the beauty of it we think.

Hopefully you've discovered the video grab from Robert Bruce below. It is part of a much longer interview (around an hour in duration) which was filmed in 2006.

Robert Bruce Interview Excerpt 1

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Introduction

The untimely death of New Zealand wrestling legend Robert Bruce has spurred us into getting this story told. We have what is probably his last recorded interview on videotape and we are looking for more footage of him and other renowned New Zealand wrestlers from the past.

If you have any footage, pictures and/or anecdotes we'd love to talk to you about them and can be contacted via the details listed in the sidebar on the right.
Cheers,
Adam Simpson (director) & Mark Hutchings (producer)
